Tu-Vets Corporation

u-Vets Printing was established in 1948 by Henry Ayala Sr. and Herman Waer Jr. in East Los Angeles, California. As classmates and long time friends, the pair shared printing and lithography classes at Roosevelt High School. However, soon after graduating and with the progression of World War II, Henry enlisted in the United States Air Force while Herman joined the United States Coast Guard.

Returning home after the war with the thrill of victory, Henry and Herman reunited while Henry was on his way to cash a $225 war bond. Upon hearing Herman's plan to start a printing business, Henry decided to combine his $225 bond with Herman's small collection of letterpress equipment and in doing so, formed Tu-Vets Printing on June 15, 1948.

From the start, the partners dedicated themselves to providing top of the line quality and service at both fair and competitive prices. These values helped Tu-Vets to produce some of the finest printing available in East Los Angeles as well as beyond.

After years of hard work that first included operations out of their garage followed by a small shop, the company moved to its current location in 1964 where among other things, they had "the first elevator on the block." A larger location allowed for larger operation including the purchasing of the company's first 4-color printing press to service an ever-growing clientele base with the state of the art printing technology and services.

While the founding partners of Tu-Vets have since retired, the company continues the practices, values, and visions first begun by Henry and Herman while still operating as a family owned business. Today, Henry Ayala Jr. and Herman Waer III are partnering to ensure the success and prosperity of Tu-Vets Corporation with a commitment to provide top of the line quality and superior customer service.
